Paulo graduated in Law from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (Mackenzie) and in Accounting from Trevisan Escola de Negócios (Trevisan).
He specializes in indirect taxes (ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, ISSQN, PIS/Cofins), working chiefly in the advisory and litigation areas in the administrative field. He has previous experience as a consultant for auditing firms known as the Big Four, meeting local and international demands, especially in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, mining, and construction sectors.
His practice includes structuring and modeling transactions; evaluating and reviewing tax parameters; negotiating incentives with states and municipalities; obtaining special regimes; evaluating import, industrialization or commercialization chains for goods and services, with the aim of identifying and mitigating risks by indicating the taxation involved. He was a judge who composed the representation of taxpayers in the São Paulo Tax Court (Tribunal de Impostos e Taxas de São Paulo-TIT-S) 2022/2023 term.
